Playing Safe

Every now and then, someone gets scammed or hacked on Stardoll. I made a post about a fake site which needed you to login, this was a scam and I realised that many people have became a victim of this; so I created a list on how to prevent yourself from being a victim of one of these incidents.

1. Do not give out your information.

What a simple point. As simple and clear as it is, people still get hacked by this method. Don't give out your information no matter what; whether it's for a free makeover or for fake clothes, you can't trust anyone online as they're strangers in reality. If they ask for your information, that's all they pretty much care about. Getting their hands on your account and clothes. Even if they're your friends, who knows what they'd do if you gave your account details.

2. Don't not buy or sell an item for more than 500SD/SC.

The highest limit that you could sell something is 500SD/SC and many people have gotten scammed.

3. Don't go on a website which looks suspicious.

If someone tells you to go on it for free things.. etc; it may contain keyloggers/viruses. Also, make sure that if you sign in on that website which looks like Stardoll, it belongs to Stardoll http://stardoll.com. If not, then it could be a fake site trying to gain your account username and password.

4. Don't download any tools.

Again, these could contain viruses and can severely damage your computer. You should also know that there are actually no tools to get free membership or stardollars and that they're fake.

Makeup Tutorial: Jean Paul Gaultier FW 2010 Backstage

Here's a quick tutorial to obtain this look inspired by the image above. It's a very very simple tutorial but is very effective to look at:

Apply the following eyelashes like so. Eyelashes are from: Spectacular! (you may need to re-size these), Midnight Lashes from SunnyBunny. You may also want to apply a beauty mark.

Use red lipstick on your lips, I used the I Love Red lipstick which was a free gift ages ago.

With a black eyeliner, create wings on your eyes.

Use a black eye pencil on above your eyes.

Apply black eye shadow to emphasize the black eye pencil.

Pastel Fashion Spring 2012

Pastel colours are currently on a trend right now for Spring 2012, they are popping up over spring runways including Ralph Lauren and are a rite of Spring. We love these pale and colours: from mint green to lavender to pastel pink and sky blue, what is your favourite pastel colour?

These are gorgeous mint green platforms which remind me of the black pleather platforms on Stardoll!

This is a mint green "Keep Calm and Carry On" necklace which is gorgeous. The nail polish also matches it!

This is a gorgeous ruffle mint green skirt, it looks so innocent and feminine! It looks great with the soft white top and beige bag.

Floral print skirt, chocolate brown belt and a pastel pink bag - it looks so soft together!

These shoes are gorgeous!

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is an American song writer and singer. If you haven't heard her songs, I suggest you should! They are really beautiful and can be replayed over and over again without getting bored of them. You can listen to her famous 'Born to Die' song here:

Other than her music career, she has a lovely fashion style. Here are some images of her (images found on tumblr):

She looks amazing in this picture! The red lipstick really compliments her jumper and it looks very indie.

In this image, she looks amazing and the simplistic-ness of the photograph really brings out her facial features and long fair hair. I also love the roses on her head.

She really does look great in shorts! I really like the floral-ruffled top in this picture.

Doll Review: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

A Kyary Stardoll dress up game was released a few days ago. I was really happy to see a doll of her and the artwork isn't that bad either. You can go on it here: http://www.stardoll.com/en/dolls/1865/Kyary_Pamyu_Pamyu.html

For those who don't know who she is, well she's a Japanese Harajuku fashion blogger and singer who creates very weird but original music videos (even more weirder than Lady Gaga!) which brings up the fact that she wears very weird and unique outfits too. She's also known to make weird and cute faces such as:

Lady Gaga got nothing compared to this! The song is very catchy and she looks adorable.

Anyways, back to reviewing the doll. I don't really mind the clothing, there could have been a more unique selection. Here's one I made

I also spotted her painted smile which is supposed to look like this:

However, when I tried to drag it on, it just went under her face. Wtf Stardoll D;

Overall, I would give this dress up a 3 out of 5 since there could have been more variety of clothes and hairstyles. Also, Stardoll needs to fix the layering of the smile!

Stardoll Presentations

Ever wondered how to make your own Stardoll presentations without having to use pre-made ones? Well, this is a quick tutorial on how to make them easily without the hassle and need to use HTML, CSS... etc. All you need is Microsoft Word.

Step one: Open Microsoft Word

Step two: Type in what you want for your presentation. Try not to use custom fonts as they may not appear on your actual Stardoll presentation.

Here's an example:

I used a blank space to add the brown background division and a various amount of colour.

Step three: Once you have created your desired presentation, just simply select it all and drag it into your Stardoll presentation editor. This is how it should look like:

It looks pretty weird, right? Anyways, once you save it, it should look fine and all the gaps white gaps will be gone!

Studded Shorts

Hello dolls! So today you may have seen the new Stardoll pick of the day which are these gorgeous studded shorts from Miss Sixty and are at a reasonable price of 14 stardollars (Nothing in Stardoll is cheap these days!) I'd definitely buy it but I'm poor right now, haha. It's weird, I never really saw these until today.
