June Hot Buys Review

Oh wow, I was on http://theawesomestardollandmore.blogspot.co.uk and they had made a post about the June Hot Buys and BOY! do they look amazing compared to this month's.
The shoes are so friggin adorable and they look like these (I love Japanese fashion! Check out her cute apricot skirt):
buyjapanese:

Thick cork soled pumps, trend in 2012. Mint green is kawaii<3
ウェッジソールのぽっくりパンプス

want these so bad.
I'm not too keen on the candy platform heel part but that's okay. In fact, I'd prefer it if it had no platform/heels.
Next, the Lady Gaga Glasses. Omfg omfg they look so hot and nice and yeahhh ;D
The red top and yellow tank top: looks like something you can make in the stardesign, I'm not pleased with them one.
The red polkadot top: So cute, vintage and burlesque! I want it ;3 It also looks like you can dress up as Minnie Mouse with it haha.
Floral dress: It's okay. Looks like a night gown and I don't like the leopard prints.
Necklace: I don't like it but some people might do because they want S.W.@.G.
Stockings: They okay.
Denim top and hat: bleugh, they just look ugly.
Models: Pretty, I like the one wearing the Lady Gaga glasses more though.

April Hotbuys Review

So the April Hotbuys 2012 are coming to an end so I decided to do a quick review on all the items, including the ones that are not out yet.
First basic impressions from the flash below: The romper looks great. I'm not keen on the colour scheme. The model's hairs look nice.
  • Okay, so the first to come out was the Hotbuys Disco Top. I didn't like it at all, there was nothing really special. In fact, it looked like a top you could make from the Stardesign. At a hefty price of 15sd, it's okay but it's nothing special really. The price isn't very surprising because Stardoll is known to sell stuff for a hell of a lot of money.
  • The second item to come out was the Hot Buys Lace Up Leggings which also cost 15sd. They look nice but look more like trousers instead of leggings which could probably be because of the shading. Other then that, I don't have anything else to really say.
  • On the 7th of April, the Hot Buys Body Chain came out. I believe it would have looked nicer if Stardoll used another colour scheme (preferrably like the real life image here)

It costs 10sd which people were definitely not happy with, especially for an item which looks to me - a tad bit tacky.
  • The forth item is the Hot Buys Bird Dress which would, again, look lovely in another colour scheme. I wish Stardoll would have added more flair to the shape of the dress and I'm not happy at how it doesn't fit so well on my doll. It costs 19sd which is I guess okay.
  • The fifth item and the one I think is the most ripped off and displeasing is the Hot Buys Silver Purse. This costs 12sd and I don't like anything about it. I would never ever wear it to be honest. If it was another colour then perhaps it would look better (oh god, I keep going on about the colour scheme!)
  • After all the Hot Buys I didn't like, the Hot Buys Pleather Skirt looks amazing compared to them. The detail on the hem looks very feminine and pretty. It costs 17sd.
  • The next to come out was the polka dot top. It looks okay. I'm pretty neutral about this one since you can make decent looking outfits with layering.
  • Recently, the Hot Buys One Jkt came out. It looks bleh and well, it's pretty accurate compared to the real life version so I can't blame Stardoll on this one, haha. At 18sd, I only bought it because it was a hot buys.
ONES THAT HAVE NOT CAME OUT YET
  • The Hot Buys Romper: The best out of all the rest. It has a nice little belt to go with it. It would also be nice if it was grey or black but whatever floats your boat, Stardoll.
  • Boots: They look tacky and I have nothing more to say.

Lolita Fashion

So today me and my friends were on MSN talking about lolita fashion. If you don't know what it is:
"Lolita Fashion is a fashion subculture originating in Japan that is based on Victorian-era clothing as well as costumes from the Rococo period, but the style has expanded greatly beyond these two. The Lolita look began primarily as one of modesty with a focus on quality in both material and manufacture of garments. The original silhouette is of a knee length skirt or dress with a 'cupcake' shape assisted by petticoats, but has expanded into various types of garments including corsets and floor lengths skirts. Blouses, knee high socks or stockings and headdresses are also worn.Lolita fashion has evolved into several different sub styles and has a subculture that is present in many parts of the world." - Wikipedia
We found this really cute site in Japan which sells a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e outfits! It's called http://www.marymagdalene.jp and the site layout is so adorable! My favourite items of clothings have to be:
http://www.marymagdalene.jp/contents/dress/231/0104/ - It also comes in a various amount of adorable colours. It is listed at the price of 23,940 (¥ 22,800 tax) (about £200!) which is pretty expensive but I guess it's worth the price. However, this dress has been sold out but it would look adorable with some bunny ears or something!
This is my next favourite - http://www.marymagdalene.jp/contents/dress/231/0105/ The colours available for this are also so cute. I'd hate to pick one I really really like xD. Listed at 28,140 (¥ 26,800 tax) means that this dress is more expensive than the one above but they both look amazing! Again this is sold out but keep an eye out when they come back here!
This is an elegant and cute ruffle shirt. The details look amazing on here and it comes in 3 colours. You can check this out here; http://www.marymagdalene.jp/contents/blouse/234/0201/ Everything is sold out( TДT)
What are your thoughts on lolita clothing? Do you like it? Would you buy a dress or item of clothing?

Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure Contest and Review

Hello dolls! There's a new competition to get a free dog gift.
If you are from the UK; click HERE
If you aren't from the UK, you can access the competition by using a proxy such as:
With the proxy, type in the URL; http://www.stardoll.com/en/contest/view.php?id=2527
All you have to do is answer the question:
What's the name of Raphael's dog?
The answer is Fondue
Also, if you scan this QR code, you can also download a free 3DS demo of the game:

I'm have just finished downloading it and now I'm going to play it, so I'll try and get you guys a review of it later.
Okay, to sum it up, the game is pretty much like DDR (dance dance revolution) only you have to slide your stylus to the direction of arrows. You start off with the male character and you're dancing in public with like 2 others, I haven't seen the female character or the dog yet lol. There's also two different stages/levels to play. On one, you have to press the control pad or the A button to defend of these metal robots and another is pressing buttons to hide behind a statue. After playing the first game it was quite difficult to start off with but I slowly got used to it. It can go quite fast but it's really enjoyable and for the other two levels it was pretty easy, I'd recommend  those with a 3DS to atleast try out the demo to see if you'll purchase it!
